This spring has been a season of growth and expansion for the New England Urban Church Planting and our Haynes School of Ministry. NEU had the joy of adopting Micah Lang and his church Redemption Hill Community to our network of churches. In answer to our prayers we have welcomed Frankie Cruz to the Haynes Church Planting Residency and Jhorman Rivera has been accepted to our supported ministry staff.
Adopted: Micah Lang & Redemption Hill Community Church

Micah Lang pastors Redemption Hill Community Church in Lewiston, Maine, a city which typifies the kinds of forgotten neighborhoods that we are working strategically to reach throughout New England. Our adoption will create a partnership between RHC, NEUCP, all of our other pastors, as well as our church planting residents. From Tim Zulker, our Executive Director:
NEU not only plants churches, but we also adopt existing churches in overlooked neighborhoods. Pastors in these contexts can feel isolated and lonely given how uncommon their churches are. NEU and these pastors benefit by loving, leaning on, and learning from each other in the challenges of inner city church work.
It's a privilege to adopt a church with gospel preaching and compassion in a city needing both. Pastor Micah translates his sermon into five languages each Sunday, reaches the many homeless teens, and loves a city most tourists will never visit. We praise God for this pastor and this church!

Accepted as Church Planting Resident: Frankie Cruz

Frankie Cruz, a recent graduate of Grimké Seminary, has been accepted as a HSM Church Planting Resident with the goal of joining Christian Michael's team to plant a church in Dorchester, MA. This is an answer to prayer as we seek to build out a full team to carry out that planting process.
Adopted as Ministry Staff: Jhorman Rivera

Jhorman is revitalizing a church in Worcester, MA, starting a Spanish-speaking congregation in that space, and also helping to launch a church in Boston. Our goal is to support Jhorman being able to focus more on his work as a pastor caring for these congregations.
Looking Forward: Supporting Domestic Missionaries
We are excited and grateful for the work God is doing: new growth to our ministry team, a newly adopted church, and new and progressing church planting residents. These additions increase our ability to see the gospel preached and churches planted in urban neighborhoods across New England.
As we look forward, our goal is to fully fund each of these men. All of our ministry staff are financially supported as domestic missionaries to enable them to fulfill the great commission in New England's urban neighborhoods. Please join us in prayer for each of them and consider partnering with us financially to support their work.
